THE PLOT:
Triton Corporation has been conducting illegal experiments with alien DNA and the results is a living, breathing and walking
biohazard which has escaped and is on the hunt for the human tissue donors so he can drain his spinal fluid in order to survive
and look for a mate to reproduce.
Mike Reardon, the head of Triton security will do anything to get the biomonster back into Triton command and cover up
it ever existed, which isn't going to be easy for him considering a nosey reporter Nicki Constairs is hot on the trail of
the story that either win him a Pulitzer or get him killed.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is a low budget right to video movie that has some character issues but on a whole it's pretty decent. The creature
effects are cool, the story is workable and the effects are pretty good, I think it might have deserved a release in the theaters,
if SAW and FINAL DESTINATION can get in the theaters I can't see why not this? 8 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
All the whole premise of the movie isn't new, evil corporation creates illegal bioweapon, it runs amuck and tries to cover
it up so the they don't go to jail. The story has been done before, but just because it's been done before doesn't make it
bad. Zedd is right, the Biomonster is cool, but it makes you wonder, I don't recall ever seeing the police. 8 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (Not original, but it works.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects are cool.)
+ PACE (It keeps a pretty fast pace.)
+ GORE EFFECTS (Are pretty good.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- CHARACTER ISSUES (How companies think they can murder and get away with it still never ceases to surprise me.)
- NO POLICE (And the Police was where during a car chase?)
...AND FINALLY...
- NOT ORIGINAL (Not totally original, a couple of other movies had similar plots for example SCARED TO DEATH.)
